YOUR ONLINE VIDEO WORKSPACE

What is Pika H3 used for in this online studio?

Pika H3 is this site’s online video studio for text-to-video, image-to-video and reference-guided creation. It runs in your browser, so you do not need to install video-generation software or set up a local model. Use it to explore a product reveal, a portrait-format social clip or an opening shot for a story. Each generation makes a short clip; combine selected takes in your editor when a project needs a longer sequence.

Start with the part of the scene you can explain most clearly. A written brief sets the action and camera direction. A first-frame image gives the shot a visual starting point. References help communicate an appearance or movement that is difficult to describe in words. For examples of different creative directions, explore the Pika H3 homepage.

Searching for Pika H3 Flex? Pika’s official model release and this independent Pika H3 workspace are different products. This page is an online creation tool, not a model download or a ComfyUI workflow. Official Pika plans, model downloads and published Flex features should not be treated as features or prices of this site. Read the site and model disclaimer before comparing offers.

BEFORE YOU GENERATE

Create Pika H3 videos from text, images or references

Start with the material closest to your idea. Each mode asks for different information; you do not need to fill every field.

Text to video: describe the scene

Choose Text to Video when you want to build a scene from scratch. Name one subject, describe one visible action, and choose how the camera moves. Add lighting and sound only when they help explain the shot.

Pick a frame shape for the intended placement before generating. A vertical social clip and a wide establishing shot need different compositions, even when they begin with the same idea.

Image to video: animate a first frame

Choose Image to Video when you already have a first frame. Upload it, then describe what should move. An optional last frame gives the sequence an ending image. Use images with compatible subjects and framing for a more coherent transition.

The frame shape follows your image. Keep important details away from its edges and describe movement rather than repeating every object already visible.

Reference to video: combine creative inputs

Choose Reference to Video to supply images, video or audio alongside your prompt. This mode uses Standard and accepts up to 12 files combined. Include at least one image or video; audio cannot be the only reference.

Explain what each reference contributes. Keep input videos within the combined 15-second limit and enter their total duration. More files are not automatically a clearer brief.

SETTINGS WITH A PURPOSE

Choose Pika H3 settings for your format and budget

Economy or Standard

Economy lowers the cost of text and image-based tests. Standard adds reference-to-video support and has a higher per-second rate. At 480p, a five-second attempt costs 10 credits in Economy or 15 in Standard. Compare the result against your brief before spending more on a longer version.

Duration and resolution

Choose a whole number from 5 to 15 seconds and either 480p or 768p. Give an action enough time to be understandable. A longer clip costs more at the same preset and resolution; it does not replace a clear sequence of actions.

Frame shape

Text mode offers six aspect ratios, from cinematic 21:9 to vertical 9:16. Reference mode also offers adaptive framing. Choose for the final screen, then keep the subject placement consistent when comparing attempts.

Advanced controls

Use prompt expansion to choose whether the model elaborates on your description. An optional seed is available for controlled experiments; it is not a guarantee of identical output. Leave it blank when you do not need to track that setting.

For a fuller walkthrough, follow the Pika H3 tutorial. The pricing guide explains credit planning before you commit to a longer attempt.

YOUR NEXT FOUR STEPS

How to generate and download a Pika H3 video

  1. 01

    Write the visible action

Start with a subject, an action and one camera direction. The sample buttons above load editable prompts. Use the prompt guide when you need help making an instruction specific.

  2. 02

    Check your settings

Choose a mode, duration and resolution. Sign in to see your balance and estimate. Upload any required material before submitting; the generate button waits while an upload is running.

  3. 03

    Follow the task

Submit once. The percentage is an estimate and stops at 99% until the service returns your finished video. If status checks pause, resume checking the existing task rather than submitting a duplicate.

  4. 04

    Review, then download

Watch the full clip. Check motion, the subject and the ending before downloading. Open or enlarge the result, or visit My creations to review saved tasks. Change one instruction when preparing the next attempt.

MAKE THE BRIEF SPECIFIC

Pika H3 prompt ideas for product, social and story clips

Choose one useful shot, then describe what changes during it. These are writing examples, not verified generation results.

A product reveal

“A red ceramic teapot sits beside a bright kitchen window. The camera slowly moves closer as a thin trail of steam rises from the spout. Soft morning light, a still background, quiet room ambience.”

Upload your own product image when its shape matters. Keep logos and printed claims for a separate review; a reference does not guarantee exact reproduction.

A vertical social opening

“A cyclist pauses at the edge of a pine forest after the rain. Medium shot, gentle camera push-in, droplets falling from the branches. Leave space above the rider for a caption added later.”

Choose 9:16 for a portrait placement. Keep the action near the center and add your final captions in an editor instead of relying on generated lettering.

A story establishing shot

“A small coastal village appears through the morning mist. A slow wide camera move follows the shore as waves reach the dark sand. Overcast light, distant seabirds and steady ocean ambience.”

Use a wider frame and one continuous movement. Plan character close-ups as separate takes rather than fitting the whole story into one short clip.

Adapt the subject and movement to your project. The Pika H3 Prompt Guide shows how to revise an unclear instruction without changing every setting at once.

PLAN YOUR ATTEMPTS

How much does Pika H3 cost, and can you try it free?

At 480p, Economy costs 2 credits per output second and Standard costs 3. At 768p, the rates are 3 and 5 credits per second. A five-second text-to-video attempt therefore costs 10 or 15 credits at 480p, and 15 or 25 at 768p. Reference inputs may add charges beyond the output estimate.

New accounts receive 15 one-time welcome credits with no expiry. That allowance covers one five-second Economy attempt at 768p, provided the full balance is available. It is not an unlimited free plan. Use the Pika H3 credit calculator to compare settings, and leave room in your budget for revisions.

WORKSPACE HELP

Pika H3 video generation: common questions

Do I need to download an app or install ComfyUI?

No. Use Pika H3 in your browser, choose a mode and sign in before uploading or generating. You do not need an APK, model weights or a local ComfyUI setup for this workspace. Opening the tool or switching modes does not start a paid generation.

What happens to my prompt when I sign in?

The sign-in window opens over the workspace. Closing it does not intentionally clear your draft. Drafts are saved in this browser session; use Reset only when you want to clear the prompt and settings.

Why is my balance different from the output estimate?

Your balance includes welcome and purchased credits. The estimate describes the selected attempt, not your remaining balance afterward. Reference inputs can add charges. The account service records the final deduction; review your account credit history for the settled amount.

What if a generation fails?

Credits for a failed generation return to your account. Check the failure message and refreshed credit history before retrying. If a request times out without a task ID, check My creations first, because the service may still have received it.

Can I generate a Pika H3 video for free?

New accounts receive 15 one-time welcome credits that do not expire. With that full balance, you can submit a five-second Economy text-to-video attempt at 480p for 10 credits or at 768p for 15 credits. Longer clips, other settings and further attempts may require purchased credits. This is this site’s welcome offer, not an unlimited free plan or Pika’s official subscription.

What if the download button cannot save the file?

Use Open video, then your browser’s Save video option. Closing the result preview does not delete the saved work from your library. Keep a local copy of videos you want to retain.
